Reserved IP Addresses — Flair, Robots & Accessories

The following IP addresses are reserved by default in a standard Flair system. Do not assign these addresses to new devices, and check for conflicts before adding any new board or computer to the network.

All devices on the Flair root network use the 192.168.1.xxx subnet with subnet mask 255.255.255.0.

Never use 192.168.1.236 as a working node address

192.168.1.236 is the address of the bootloader. Assigning this address to any MRMC node can create conflicts in the network switch that are difficult to diagnose. This address is reserved and must remain unused.

Notes

  • The 192.168.1.234–244 block is used by MRMC axis boards (UltiBox, Quad Box, Octo Box, Uniboards). Specific addresses within this range depend on your system configuration — check your network.ini file or the Network Setups screen in Flair.
  • The RT14 typically sits at 192.168.1.234.
  • When adding new turntables or model movers, choose an address outside all reserved ranges, or contact MRMC for guidance.
  • If a new board arrives without a label showing its IP, use the Find button in Setups > Network Setups to discover it, temporarily unplugging other boards if needed.
