MRMC Broadcast Panel — 'Ear' Controller Not Recognized in Flair 7

Summary

The MRMC Broadcast Panel connects to Flair as a USB joystick device under HHB configuration, and the panel's main controls work correctly on Flair Classic. On Flair 7.6.22, the panel is detected as a broadcast device, but the panel's "Ear" controller function specifically is not recognized — no equivalent mapping was found in the Flair 7 HHB configuration.

Symptoms

  • MRMC Broadcast Panel (USB) sets up under HHB config as a USB joystick device without issue.
  • Panel functions work correctly on Flair Classic.
  • On Flair 7 (7.6.22), the software does detect/see the broadcast device.
  • The panel's "Ear" controller specifically does not register or map to anything in Flair 7.

[OPEN] Confirmed Detected, Ear Function Not Mapped

Community — 8 July 2026

"Yes, it reads on Flair Classic but it doesn't read onto Flair 7.6.22 that i just installed... yes i see the broadcast device but the one i have has the Ear Controller, but it seems the software doesn't recognize the Ear controller."

No resolution or MRMC/Multidyne support response was captured in this thread. If you hit this, it's worth reporting via the Flair bug-report channel (simon@cameracontrol.com for Classic, or the Flair 7 report line) so it can be tracked as a Flair 7 HHB-mapping gap rather than a one-off setup mistake.
