Flair Crashes Saving From DMX Popup — Missing DMX Drivers¶

Summary¶
In Flair Classic, attempting to save from the DMX popup menu causes Flair to crash. Some versions also display an error when loading DMX drivers. The cause is missing or incorrectly placed DMX driver files. Placing the correct driver files in \Flair\Flair6 resolves the crash.
Symptoms¶
- Flair crashes every time you try to save from the DMX popup menu
- Some Flair Classic versions show a driver load error when attempting to use DMX
- The DMX popup may open, but any save action causes a crash
- Issue appeared across multiple Flair Classic versions
Root Cause¶
DMX control in Flair Classic depends on external driver/DLL files that must be placed in the correct installation directory. If these files are absent, outdated, or in the wrong location, Flair crashes when attempting to save DMX settings.
Resolution¶
[CONFIRMED] — Install DMX drivers in the correct location¶
- Obtain the correct DMX driver files from MRMC support.
- Reference thread: DMX Control via USB
- Place the driver files in:
- Restart Flair Classic.
- Test the DMX popup — saving should now work without crashing.

MRMC has issued updated DMX driver files at various times. If the issue recurs after an update, request the latest driver set from MRMC support or check the forum link above.
