Serial Device Output - "Did Not Send Bytes" Message

Summary

A flashing line saying something like "did not send 352 bytes" was traced to leftover real-time data output / serial output settings from Unreal or data-output testing. The fix was to disable the unused output in Serial Device Setup.

Symptoms

  • Repeating or flashing output message.
  • Text includes "did not send" and a byte count.
  • Often appears after testing Unreal, FreeD, serial output, or another data-output workflow.
