Bolt Will Not Engage After Camera Change — Staubli / Network / E-Stop Checks¶
Summary¶
If a Bolt will not engage after a camera change, do not assume the camera itself caused the fault. The field advice was to check robot-link network cables, the small network switch in the Flair machine, E-stops, the track pinch wheel assembly, CS8 / Staubli errors, and the correct power-on sequence.
Symptoms¶
- After a camera change, pressing the enable button on the E-stop does not engage the robot.
- Flair / CS8 shows an error.
- The issue may coincide with physical disturbance around the robot, cables, or base.

[5/7/2024, 10:59:13 am] Ben Myers: Did someone push an e-stop on the base? And is this a track model? Did the track pinch wheel assembly get unplugged?
[6/7/2024, 12:59:23 am] ~ Léo Lamant: Just a glimpse at the precision of the milo, test we have done last week at mrmc with our Raptor 8K, full frame 16/9 with 90mm macro ! 👌

[6/7/2024, 2:08:06 am] ~ Marc Srour: Does anyone have a recommendation for a Sony A7III cage that fits nicely with the Bolt Universal Camera Plate? I have the Shape cage but it's not screwing in nicely, camera holes are too close together.
Or otherwise any advice for solidly putting an A7III or other small mirrorless? It's for a stop motion project where we decided to go for stills
[6/7/2024, 2:10:11 am] Ben Myers: I have the kondor blue cage for my a7s iii and it fits just fine. 2 mounting points (1/4”- 20 and 3/8”).
